Inventerprise is fully funded by Lonza’s Bend site. A team of employees passionate about community engagement and STEM advocacy volunteer their time to make this contest happen each year.
The site (formerly Bend Research) has been a staple of the Central Oregon community since its beginnings in 1975. It is now part of the Small Molecules Division of Lonza and a company considered a leader in creating value by advancing medicines that improve human health.
The Riverhouse donates their event space to host the final event for the contest winners. This includes an afternoon where the students get to present their projects, participate in a variety of hands-on science demonstrations, and indulge in liquid nitrogen ice-cream!
The Riverhouse complex includes a hotel, restaurant, and event space right along the Deschutes river. They have over 41,000 square feet of dynamic indoor and outdoor spaces--each offering a unique setting for breakout sessions, team-building escapades, networking rendezvous, epic conferences, bustling trade shows, and monumental gatherings.
