Inventerprise is an annual problem-solving contest open to all Central Oregon K-12 students. Each year the contest poses a question to spark students' imaginations, challenging them to pursue inventive solutions to pressing problems.
Join the Inventerprise crew on a journey into your imagination!
Your 2025 mission is:
We are the Martians!
Imagine if we actually made it to Mars. How would we have to adapt our lifestyle to live in this new environment?
Invent something that prepares us for this future.

With this contest, we aim to inspire and challenge students. It fosters problem-solving skills and research, critical thinking, and creativity.
The contest was founded in 1992 as an outgrowth of a business-education partnership between Bend Research (now Lonza) and the Bend-La Pine School District to promote science education and enrich students' educational experience.
The best entries are ones that are not only inventive and feasible, but an idea that is well developed. This includes information such as
why you chose this topic
how the idea came to you
how you developed it and problems encountered along the way
why it’s important
research you did
anticipated challenges
Just because entries are submitted online, doesn’t mean you can’t still get your hands dirty! We encourage the use of many formats such as
drawings
dioramas
models and prototypes
movies
crafts
posters
reports
A combination of entry types is totally acceptable. Whatever you need to best convey your thoughts, ideas, and final invention!
